New puppy and new apartment!

So a lot as happened since I last posted.  First of all my grandma and grandpa decided to take a last minute trip to Virginia to spend some time with my Aunt Tami.  They asked us to house sit for them while they are gone.   David and I have spent hours soaking in their hot tub.  We have really enjoyed our time there!

We also moved to a new apartment!  We had no intention of moving anytime soon but David was randomly looking on KSL one night and stumbled on this basement apartment that allowed pets.  We had been dying to get a dog for a long time.  We went over to take a look and really loved it.  It is still in Provo not too far from the old apartment.  It has more square footage, a washer dryer, and a dishwasher.  We decided to take it and we absolutely love it! It is so homey and the best part is we can have a pet!  This leads me to my next exciting news..

We got a puppy!  His name is Cody and he is a miniature Australian shepherd.  He was 10 weeks when we picked him up.  We had been eyeing these puppies on ksl for awhile.  They were about 400 bucks and to expensive for us. A couple weeks later they lowered the price to 250 and I was ready to jump in the car, drive two hours, and put a deposit down on a puppy.  we still had a couple weeks until we moved so we couldn't have gotten him then.  David told me that we couldn't do that and I was pretty mad at him.  I guess he was right because a couple days after we started moving into our apartment my mom called me up and said that there was one puppy left and the price was 150.  That day we jumped in the car, drove five hours round trip and picked up Cody!  He is such a cutie and we love him so stinkin much.  He is sleeping right by me as I'm typing this.

Anyway a lot has gone on this last week!  We starting moving last Wednesday, started house sitting on Thursday,  and picked up Cody on Friday.  It has been crazy! But totally worth it.

Here are some pics of our little guy

The Alligator

I thought I'd write a post about our favorite family game involving this here alligator.

It all started a couple years ago when me and David went to Lagoon. I think it was 2010.  We were playing some of the games there and we won this alligator!  I brought it home and it hung around the house for awhile.  It started driving my mom crazy because it was always around and in the way.  One day she was very annoyed with it and demanded I take it to my room or get rid of it.  Instead of obeying I put it in her car on her seat so in the morning when she had to leave, it would be right there waiting for her.  That's where it all began.

Ever since we have been taking turns hiding for each other and waiting for the other to find it.  It is a blast! You never know when it will turn up.

Whoever finds it has the duty to hide it for someone else.  Sometimes it will be months until someone gets surprised. One time me and my mom mailed it to my dad at work.  Last Christmas my dad gave it as a gift for David.  Sometimes we just stick it in a clothes drawer for someone to find.    After me and David moved to Provo one morning I woke up with it down my shirt.  I was sooo confused as to why it was there.  I thought during the night David had put it down there but it turned out my parents had just put it under the covers and sometime during the night it had found its way down my shirt.  That was a very funny one!  The most recent trick was this last Christmas.  David said he was kind of expecting it to turn up when we were at my families house opening presents. It never happened though.  Later on Christmas me and David were at his families house opening secret santas.  After I opened mine, David's mom interrupted and said that a person had dropped by a gift a few days ago and said to give it to someone on Christmas day.  I was very confused.  After she gave me the gift I recognized the wrapping paper as the same that my parents used so I knew it was from them.  This is when David knew what it was but I was still clueless.  I opened it and of course.  The alligator!  So now it is currently in my possession and it is my turn to think of something great to give it back.

It started out as this annoying thing that was just laying around and it has turned into an awesome family game.  I just thought I would share!

Christmas!

Christmas was truly awesome!.  I felt like a little kid this year and I was soooo excited!. Christmas Eve was extremely fun for me because I didn't have to work.  I started the day by getting the Christmas basics on
I had country Christmas going on pandora

And a wonderful smelling Christmas scentsy on.

I spent a little while cleaning the kitchen really well so I could fully enjoy my day. Then I started out on wrapping presents.  I watched 3 Christmas movies on Netflix.  It was great!
All the presents I wrapped!!

This is a cool bow I learned how to make out of wrapping paper scraps. So easy and fun to do!

David had to work until about six. I picked him up from work when he got off and headed to Ogden.  We met my family at Chilies to have dinner. Going out to dinner on Christmas Eve has been my families tradition for the last couple years and I love it.  It is definitely something that me and David are going to keep doing. After some good food we went to Ogden cities of lights.  It is my dad's favorite thing to do and the rest of us tag along. It was freezing!

After that we went home to Morgan and opened our secret santa presents. I had my mom and got her a facial from groupon to go get. Mom and David and gave him this great shirt form Target.  David had my dad and got him a air popcorn popper.  Dad had Erin and got her some great pajamas.  And finally Erin had me and got me so body spray.

We went to bed that night with the plan to wake up at seven.  Normally you can't drag me out of bed until ten but I was so excited for Christmas I woke up at six and couldn't go back to sleep.  After that I pestered David until he would get up with me and we ran upstairs to get everyone else up to open presents.

This is my stocking loot. The best thing I got was lots of good make up whichI really needed.
I got David some Toms Shoes which he as been wanting for a long time.  He was pretty stoked and surprised!

My awesome parents got me a big thing of good flour. They are the best!

David got me a huge thing of Reeses from Costco and an itunes gift card and a subscription to People magazine. He is the best!

Erin is the best and made me this shoe box covered in Zach Efron pictures.  I love him!! My sister is the coolest.  I look at this everyday.
Our cat Susi also had a fun time on Christmas.  She played in the wrapping paper all day.
 I love my husband!!

After my house we went to church with David's family at 10.  After that we went back to his house and had a big breakfast his mom made. Then we opened secret santa's with his family.  Thomas got a great scrapbook making kit with paper and stickers and lots of fun things to make a great scrapbook.  From Dani David got a nice new wallet which he really wanted. We spent the rest of the day hanging out at his house.  David and Thomas played a lot of video games while I just hung out.  David's dad dropped by which was nice so we could spend some time with him.

Christmas was so awesome!  We had such a great time being with each other and our families.  I'm a little sad it ended but life has to move on.  I can't wait till next year!

Fun in Salt Lake

Thursday, the 22nd, David and I went to a wedding for our good friend Cameron Chugg.  We got up and went to the Salt Lake Temple  to see the ceremony.  It was so much fun watching them get married, but also remembering our own wedding.  Man I just wish I could relive that day again. It was so wonderful!  Anyway, after they got married we went out for pictures.  It was a beautiful day but it was freezing and me and David didn't stay to long. Then we went to Bountiful and had lunch at their luncheon.  It was at Eldredge Manor and it was very nice.  We had a good lunch of chicken cordon bleu and ice cream with chocolate syrup for lunch.  After that we went back to Salt Lake to spend the evening with David's family.  His mom and dad and his little brother and sister were staying the night in a hotel.  We went there and had pizza with everyone.  Then we got all bundled up and went to temple square to see the lights. It was so much fun!  Here are some pictures of the night.

Me and my cool sister-in-law Lynsey

Fun in the elevator!

After looking at the lights we went back to the hotel and we all got our suits on and went swimming. I loved sitting in the hot tub.  My favorite thing to do!  It was a great night and we are glad we got to hang out with everyone!

Family Pictures!

So a few weeks ago we had our family pictures done.  It was so fun! We had the same photographers that did our wedding, Glam Photography. They are totally awesome and did a great job.  Here they are!

Gettin ready for Christmas!

Christmas is right around the corner!  I am excited.  I officially finished all of my Christmas shopping and it feels so good.  Target is going well.  It has been soooo busy.  David's work Costco is also very busy.  We are glad to be employed!

My mom came down to Provo today and we got a bunch of stuff done for her.  We made candy cane bath salts for all of her co-workers christmas gifts and made a ton of chocolate covered pretzels for other gifts.  Making chocolate covered pretzels has become a Christmas Tradition for us. I love making them.  We had such a fun time hanging out.  She is the bomb!

I can't wait for Christmas!

Let Him In!

Yesterday was a great day!  It actually started kind of bad when after taking me to school David discovered a flat tire.  Thankfully we got it taken care of and were able to make it to our family photo shoot.  It was so great!  We used the same photographers that did our wedding, Glam Photography, and we had a good time. Hopefully we will see our pictures soon.

After that we killed some time by getting some dinner at Arby's then we went to the Forgotten Carols. I have grown up with this story my whole life and it was very fun to see the play.

We had so much fun.  I love being with my family they are the best!
