Christmas!

I LOVE Christmas. I love it. It is my most favorite time of year and it always goes by too quickly. This year was great because it was our first Christmas with our little girl. It also stunk because I had to work on Christmas Eve and Christmas night so I missed Christmas with the Enlow's/Shopes.

On Christmas Eve David went to Lynsey's and spent the evening with Lynsey, Henry, Craig, and Scott. He had a great time and Austyn was so good! I had to work but my family brought me Goodwood BBQ (my favorite) and ate it will me. That was so nice of them and definitely a highlight of my night.

On Christmas morning we had my family come up to our little cabin. It was so cozy with the beautiful snow outside and our warm fire in our stove. We had a great time opening presents and celebrating together.

 After presents David and I made breakfast. David made scones and egg nog french toast and I made crepes with nutella and whipped cream.

After breakfast my mom and I went for a Christmas hike. It was so great!

After the hike David and I went to his parents house to open more presents and be with his family. I had to go to work at three but David spent the rest of the day there for dinner and having fun with his family.

Even though I had to work through most of it, it was a great Christmas. I'm so sad the holidays are over. Can't wait until next year!

Huntsville BBQ Company

For my dad's birthday the family had dinner at Huntsville Barbeque Company in Huntsville.  It was terrible weather but we ventured over the mountain. To be honest it was a pretty scary job but the food was amazing and more than worth it! We had the whole place to ourselves which was fun and pigged out. We had ribs, chicken, brisket, pulled pork (my favorite), the most flavorful mashed potatoes, and probably the best french fries I've ever eaten. I can't wait to go back and eat there again. Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving this year was great! The original plan was for us to travel to Idaho Falls and have dinner with the Creager family. We found out that a few people were sick though and I didn't want to risk Austyn getting a cold so we last minute decided to stay in Morgan and have the big dinner with David's family. We had such a great time with David's parents, Jake and Hailey and Lynsey, Craig, and Henry.

My favorite part about Thanksgiving is that it means the start of the Christmas season. I LOVE Christmas. We had our tree up a couple weeks before christmas which I know is terrible:)

Happy Birthday Erin!

My awesome little sister turned 19! To celebrate we went out as a family to Boondocks. We went bowling, played in the arcade, and had an absolute blast playing laser tag. After we went to IHOP for a very delicious dinner. We had such a fun time! I love you sister, happy birthday!

A trip to Idaho

Last Saturday we took Austyn on her first trip out of state. We packed up and headed to Rupert, Idaho for the day to visit my wonderful grandpa. I wanted Austyn to meet him as soon as possible. He is an amazing man.

We arrived and ate his signature potato soup and chocolate chip cookies and headed out to Milner Dam. My mom spent many days there when she was growing up camping and having cook outs with her family. I also have gone on many cookouts with my grandpa there so it was special taking David and Austyn. We had a great time hiking on all of the rocks. Austyn was great on our little trip and slept most of the time.

I love my grandpa so much and I'm so glad we got to spend time with him.

St. George

St. George trip!

David and I knew we wanted to take a trip before our little baby came so we decided to jet down to St. George. We went with my family and my Mom's parents and had a blast. 

We went to two different plays at Tuacahn, Thoroughly Modern Millie, and Mary Poppins. We had never been to Tuachan before and we absolutely loved the shows. 

On Sunday we wanted to do something somewhat spiritual so we went to the temple visitors center, Jacob Hamblins Home, and the Pine Valley Chapel.

Pine Valley Chapel is the oldest lds chapel in continuous use. It was way neat.

I mostly had fun just hanging out, playing cards, swimming, and being with my family.

We did have a couple hiccups during our vacation. First our lovely car broke down. Luckily all it needed was a new battery and we were good to go. 

On the day before our trip ended we were all hanging out in the hotel room. All of a sudden my grandpa was slurring all of his words. We asked him to smile and only one side of his mouth moved. We immediately thought stroke and rushed him to the hospital. Luckily it was only a mini stroke and he was ok. He had to stay a couple nights in the hospital but all is well thankfully.

All in all besides going to the hospital it was a fantastic trip. It was so nice to get away and focus on family. We had so much fun together. I can't believe our next family vacation we will have a baby! 

4th of July

4th of July was awesome. I started my day out by working in the local fireworks stand in Morgan. I worked there for a total of 4 days. It was pretty fun but it was so so so hot. I mean hot. The plus side of working there was that I got a great deal on some fireworks of my own. My family has never been super into fireworks but David is so it was fun to get a few things.

After I was done working we headed over to David's family's home. We had a yummy barbecue and had so much fun hanging out. After that we headed to my family's house and watched the fireworks. We (David's parents, my parents, Hailey, Jacob,Thomas, Dani, Taylor, Lynsey, Craig, Henry, and  My Grandma and Grandpa Creager) gathered in the backyard and we lit off some of our fireworks. Then we all watched the big fireworks done by the city. After that we finished up our fireworks. It was so fun and such a great day!
