Christmas 2012

Christmas!

Christmas was AWESOME.  I'll tell you about my week leading up to Christmas:

Saturday:

I had a few days off before Christmas luckily and so I went up to Morgan on Saturday.  David was going to come up on Sunday and we didn't want to take separate cars so I took the Frontrunner train.  It was so great riding it. I'm so stoked they have a station in Provo.  My parents picked me up at the station in Ogden and we finished up our Christmas shopping.  That night I got to see my high school friends. We had a great dinner at Beaner's (aka kelsey's:) house. We had such a fun time talking about all our good times together.  I love them and I wish we could hang out more often.

Sunday:

I went to church with my family and helped my mom in nursery. It was a crazy day at nursery! That night we went down to temple square.  David's family happened to be going the same night too so we all got to see each other.  The lights were so pretty and it wasn't even that cold.  Definitely a favorite Christmas tradition.

Monday:

Christmas Eve!  We spent a little time in the morning hanging out at David's then we went on over to my house.(It is so convenient that our families live so close together.  It makes the holidays a lot easier.) We played some games with Erin and my mom and laughed a ton. That night we went back over to David's.  We had a delicious dinner of enchiladas and then played a way fun game where I happened to be the winner of fifty gold coins.  After that it was secret santa time!  we all exchanged great gifts.  Me and David were very happy with our gifts!  David got legos and I got a Chili's gift card (which we already used:) One of the highlights of the night is when we went outside and lit Chinese lanterns and watched them fly away. I was so tired by the end of the night and anxious to get to my house where we were going to sleep.  Of course when we got into bed I couldn't sleep at all.  Way too excited for Christmas!

It was so funny because all of the boys got legos as for their secret santa. They are definitely related.

Tuesday:

Christmas!!  I woke up about six thirty and woke David up.  Somehow we managed to stay in bed until seven then headed up the stairs.  To my surprise my mom and Erin were already awake.  We got my dad up and started on presents.  We did stockings first which is my favorite thing to do.  All our gifts were awesome.  I got David clothes, legos, a panda express gift card and his main present was a fish tank.  I was very lucky and David's dad let me have an old fish tank in his garage for free so I was able to get David a decent size gift card to Petsmart. David got me a nice BYU jacket and tickets to Bon Jovi!!  I was so surprised and very excited. It is in April and we are going to get a hotel and make a very fun weekend out of it.  We were also very spoiled by our parents.  They always treat us so good.

Later that day we were able to stop by David's dad's to wish them a merry christmas where we got even more gifts. So grateful for our family.

Christmas was so great.  The best part is just getting to be with our families.  I was a little depressed on Christmas night just because the holiday was over.  I just love that time of year so much. I'm ready for the new year though.  Its going to be a good one!
