Christmas

Christmas this year was so great. The best part of course was that David got to come home! On Sunday the 21st Austyn and I met him at the airport. He looked so handsome in his dress blues. I wasn't sure how Austyn would react to him but because she's been pretty shy lately and he's been gone fore so long but it took her two seconds before she gave him a big hug.

After the airport we went to David's families home for the Enlow/Shope Christmas party. We had lots of yummy food and did our secret santa. It was a blast. David's mom Teresa always does such an amazing job with familiy get togethers.

The next day (Monday) David and I left Austyn with my mom and headed to Salt Lake for a mini vacation. It was the first time in Austyn's whole life I've left her for the night. Although I missed her so much me and David had SO much fun. We went to a movie, shopped, and ate and ate and ate. Our favorite places were Kneaders, The Cheesecake Factory, and Lucky 13. I'm so glad we got to spend a couple nights in Salt lake. And a BIG thanks to my mom and dad and Teresa and Lynsey for helping tend Austyn!

Cheesecake!

We got home on Christmas Eve just in time to go out for Christmas Even dinner with my mom and dad at Goodwood BBQ. It was delish! We got home and made gingerbread houses! David rocked his house. My first attempt totally fell apart and I made a decent barn instead. My mom's house only got half finished because she was kind enough to entertain Austyn for us. We made a huge mess but had a great time.

We were all up at about 7ish on Christmas morning. We finished some last minute stocking stuff and opened presents. Christmas is so much more fun with a kid! Austyn loved opening her presents. Once she got them open though she didn't really care about her actual present haha. Except her baby stroller. She opened that and took off! She still loves pushing it all around the house. Christmas morning was so great. It was so nice being with my own little family and my mom and dad. I think David's highlight of the morning was the homemade egg nogg that my mom made. He was obsessed with it. I think he drank a whole gallon haha.

After we finished our morning my parents left for Saint George and we went to David's house. We checked out everyone's presents played games, played in the snow,  had lots of fun and had a yummy Christmas dinner.

David getting nailed by a snowball!

I LOVE Christmas and I'm always so sad when it's over :(

We spent the next week hanging out, seeing family, and just enjoying being together. It was so so fun having David home. It feels like he's been gone forever. I'm definitely over it. On New Year's Eve I had to work so David spent the night playing with his family. On the 1st we woke up early and took David to the airport and said goodbye. This goodbye was hard but it is such a good feeling to know that he is almost done! Just about a month longer and he will be home for good. I'm beyond excited.

Our holidays were so amazing here at the Enlow home. The best part was just being together as a family. I feel like 2015 is going to be a pretty big year for us with a lot of changes happening. I'm excited!
