Disneyland

Ever since David and I went to disneyland a few years ago we knew we wanted to go back. Over a year ago when Austyn was just a few months old I was visiting my friend Katie and her baby. We came up with the brilliant idea of going to Disneyland together! So we have been planning this trip for a long long time. It was so great to finally go!

We rented a van so we could all go together and about 10 PM we loaded everything up and started our vacation. Daniel drove the first half and David drove the second half. They both did a great job driving and staying awake. Austyn fell right asleep and slept most of the way. Harper had a little harder time sleeping but both girls were troopers.

We got to California about 8 or so and got some breakfast. We were exhausted but unfortunately we couldn't check into our hotel yet. We drove around, stopped at Target, thought about going to the beach, pretty much just tried to waste time. Katie's parents happened to be in California also and let us crash in their hotel for a couple hours. This was a lifesaver! All six us us crashed and took a good nap. 

After we finally were able to check into our hotel.

 

We really liked our hotel. It had a good hot breakfast and a shuttle to take us to Disneyland. Our rooms also had adjoining rooms which was way fun. The girls would run and run back and forth. 

After we got settled in we headed to dinner on the pier and the beach!

 
 The beach wasn't too successful. I was so excited to take Austyn but by the time we were done with dinner it was cold and Austyn was so tired. She had a huge meltdown. I was a little disappointed but I guess we will have to make a trip to the beach next year.

The next day we headed to Disneyland! We had a magical day. Austyn had a great time on the rides. There were only a couple that she couldn't go on which was really nice. She loved rides like Haunted Mansion, Pirates, and Small World. She just looked all around. She was however terrified of any characters we saw. We had a long day but it was a good day.

One memorable moment of the first day is we got stuck on Splash Mountain. The ride broke down and we had to get out and exit through a back way.  They did give us fast passes to any ride to make it up for us. 

The next day was California Adventure! I love California Adventure, maybe even a little more than Disneyland.. Shh don't tell anyone.

Austyn's favorite was the little splash pad.

 They also had this little Disney Jr. show that both of the girls LOVED.

On the last day we split time between both parks. It was the last of three long days. We had soooo much fun but I really don't think I could've done another day. It was exhausting!

Austyn's most favorite rides were Autopia, where she got to drive a car. And Finding Nemo, where we went down in a submarine and saw a cute Finding Nemo story. She LOVED both of these rides so much!

  We left for home the next day, stopping in St George for the night. We had the best time on our trip. It was so fun going with Katie and Daniel and Harper, they made it so much more fun. I can't wait to go back!
