We are expecting our second baby! And we couldn't be more excited. My due date is January 22 so that puts me currently at 12 weeks. Several months ago I started getting so baby hungry. David wasn't quite ready yet and we wanted to wait until after our vacation to Disneyland before we really started trying. My baby hungry took over though and I couldn't wait any longer! I got pregnant just a few weeks before our vacation. At first I was sad that I wouldn't experience Disney to it's fullest. We had been planning this vacation for a long time but I still had sooo much fun. I really didn't miss much.
I am feeling pretty great. This pregnancy seems similar to Austyn's. I've been a little queasy in the morning but as soon as I eat I'm fine. I'm very emotional and ornery all the time. Poor David has to put up with me. My biggest symptom is exhaustion. I'm so so tired all the time. Luckily Austyn is a great nap taker and takes a 3 hour nap every day so I get lots of naps in. David is also great and lets me go to bed early while he gets Austyn to sleep. I'm just always so tired.
I really can't wait for Austyn to be a big sister. They will be 2 years and 3 months apart. She loves her doll right now and is always taking care of her. She is going to be a great sister. My only worry is that she will smother the baby to hard with her love haha.
I just had my second doctors appointment a couple days ago. The doctor I go to does an ultrasound on every visit. I got to see the baby moving! It had little arms and little legs that were already kicking. It was so neat to see. The doctor says everything is healthy! We also briefly talked about my anti-body Kell problem (that you could read about here) My doctor told me that when he was med school the way they learned about Kell is that "Kell Kills." I'm beyond grateful we don't have to worry about it.
My doctor also said that we should be able to find out the gender at my next appointment! With Austyn we were very sure early on that she was a girl but I have no idea about this one. I can't wait to find out.
I do have to admit that although I am so excited about this baby I'm also so scared! Austyn can sure be a handful and then to throw a newborn into the mix terrifies me sometimes.
Anyway there are all my random thoughts on this new baby! I am so thankful we are going to be adding to our family. I can't wait to hold our baby in my arms.

Yay! Congratulations. This is such a happy thing and I know that you'l be great with two. Lydia was 2 years and 4 months with Austin was born and it was a great age. She'll love her baby.
