For the last few years now David has had a cyst growing on his wrist. He had it drained once but it came back very quickly. It really has been bothering him lately so we decided to get it removed. He went in for his first ever surgery last Thursday and got it taken out. The surgeon said it was huge! I'm glad we got it taken care of. The best part though was when we got to see him after. It was the first time he'd ever experienced anesthesia and he was so funny! We walked into his room and the first thing he said to me was "You're so hott!!" He said that like 10 times. He really wanted me to know that he thought I was hott. The nurse said he'd been saying that ever since he woke up. Then he saw Austyn and Liv and said "You're so pretty, they are just so pretty!" For the next 20 minutes or so he just kept saying the funniest things. He told me that they took him for a ride down the hall which was a very fun ride. Then they moved him to a very skinny table. He said the doctor said the table was so skinny so they could get nice and cozy. He kept making funny sounds with his lips and then would laugh and say he sounded like a boat. He was obsessed with what time it was. To him it hadn't felt like any time had passed and he thought that was so funny. It was sooo funny seeing him so goofy. He can't remember hardly anything he said.
He is recovering pretty well! For the first 2 weeks he can only lift 2 pounds and then for 4 weeks after that only 10. It kinda is a big pain especially with a new baby but its going well. Luckily for us Costco is working well with him and letting him do mostly sales. Hopefully he will keep recovering quickly!
