Easter

Easter was so much fun this year. Having kids has made holidays so much more fun and Easter wasn't an exception.

We took Austyn on several Easter egg hunts and she loved every single one of them. Even now a couple weeks after Easter she still asks me if she can go on an Easter egg hunt. The first hunt was a week before Easter that our apartment complex hosted.

Our next hunt was the day before Easter at the Family Tree Assisted Living where I work. This one was extra fun because we got to see our friends Harper Katie and Daniel, and Taylor, Thomas, and Dani.

Then we headed over to my Creager family Easter party and found more eggs.

Last but not least was the Shope/Enlow Easter egg hunt the week after Easter.

For Easter weekend we decided to give Austyn her Easter basket on Saturday instead of Sunday. We are going to try to keep all the "fun" Easter stuff on Saturday and make Sunday more spiritual and focus on Christ.

We hid her Easter bucket and several eggs the night before and when she woke up she got to find them. She had so much fun!

Getting everything ready the night before.

Finding eggs
Found it!

Checking out her stash.
Her basket included Minnie Mouse stickers and tattoos, little toy dinosaurs, sidewalk chalk, Reese's eggs, and a bubble gun. She loved it all! Austyn also got baskets of goodies from Grandma and Grandpa Shope and Grandpa Scott.

The next day on Easter Sunday we gave her a present from Grandma Tara which was a picture of Jesus and a little girl. We always ask Austyn who is in the picture and she says "Jesus and Austyn!" It is perfect.

We also got the girls matching dresses! They just looked so cute going to church.
They were both so ornery when I tried to get a picture together!

This Easter was a success! It was so great having fun with Austyn and Olivia and remembering the Savior and the reason for Easter.  Happy Easter!
